Welcome Back to another School Year at Jose Rizal University !!! July 2008 Dear Students, Allow me to personally welcome you once again to Jose Rizal University! Together, we already have accomplished a lot over the past school years, but as journey through yet another, we expect to be surprised by the wonders this new school year brings to us here in JRU. In JRU, We Care About Good Education. Whatever reason you may have in enrolling once again in JRU, be it the decision of your parents, proximity of your house to the school, low tuition fees or even your personal choice, let me assure you that you made the right choice. JRU is proud to have attained a five year deregulated status as per CHED Memorandum Order no. 59, series of 2007. Of the more than 1,500 private colleges and universities in the Philippines, only 12 schools have attained an autonomous or deregulated status for five years, good until 2012. We continue to aspire for higher accreditation levels, having already attained a Level III re-accreditation status (one step above Level III) from the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA). The programs we have invested in for students to have a better PRC performance are now yielding very good results, allowing us to once again beat the national board examinations. JRU also tries its best to increase student accessibility to education, the main barrier of which is financial in nature. This is why the university continues to offer many scholarships which include the Student Financial Assistance Program (STUFAP) and the PGMA Student Assistance for Education for a Strong Republic (SAFE 4 SR). You may already have seen posted around the campus the comparative tuition fees of various colleges and universities in Metro Manila for school year 2008-2009. Overall, our fees still belong to the lower 30% of the entire list and the lowest among colleges and universities with autonomous or deregulated status in the NCR. Not only are we proud that the increase in total fees are very minimal compared to other schools, we were also able to decrease our charges for Computer and Library fees this school year. This is the outstanding commitment of the University: to offer high quality and in demand courses at very affordable means possible. This shows that once again that in JRU, we care about the welfare of our students and their families by charging affordable tuition fees while giving them the highest quality of education attainable. |
