1st batch of JRU Guaranteed Employment (EdgE) Scholars sign contract

In a ceremony held for the purpose, the scholars of the Bachelor of Commercial Science major in Supply Chain Management (BCS SCM) of Jose Rizal University signed their contracts together with their parents and/or guardians in the presence of the advocates and supporters of the new course. Present in the said ceremony were representatives of the tripartite agreement who joined hands in offering the new course. These are 2G0 and SuperFerry, both part of the Aboitiz Transport System, and the Society of Fellows in Supply Management (SOFSM) and the officers and President of JRU. 15 scholarships were made available to jump start the new course. So far, only JRU has offered this course in the entire country, as part of its Education towards Guaranteed Employment (EdGE) program – a cutting edge program designed to provide immediate employment for students as they are absorbed by JRU’s industry partners just after graduation. The other new course offered by JRU under the same program is BCS HRM major in Cruise Management.
